Academic Excellence

Resurrection School strives to deliver a challenging and accessible education which prepares students for high school, college, and beyond. Resurrection is an "A" rated school, as well as an Indiana 4-Star school.


RELIGION PROGRAM

The Religion program at Resurrection School is central to our school’s curriculum.  Augustine Institute's Word of Life has recently been adopted by all schools in the Diocese of Evansville, and Resurrection School is actively preparing to roll this out in August of 2024.


In addition to the basic religious instructional program, the school provides assistance in sacramental preparation (2nd grade students are prepared for the reception of Reconciliation and First Eucharist), family life instruction, and the opportunity to attend liturgies, prayer, and penance services.


KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM includes: Religion, Math, Reading Readiness, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, and Physical Education.


GRADES 1, 2, and 3 CURRICULUM includes: Religion, Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music, and Physical Education.


GRADES 4 - 7 CURRICULUM includes:  Religion, Math, Language Arts, Science, Health, Social Studies, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Technology.

 

In addition to the curriculum noted above, Resurrection offers multiple extracurricular opportunities for students to supplement and apply their learning, such as:


  • Academic Super Bowl (Grades 7-8)
  • Math Bowl (Grades 5-6)
  • Engineering Club (Grades 3-8)
  • Coding Club (Grades 3-4)
  • Robotics Team (Grades 6-8)
  • Annual Participation in the Scripps National Spelling Bee Program
  • Annual Participation in the McGraw-Hill Geography Bee Program
  • Speech Team (Grades 6-8)
  • Student Council (Grades 5-8)
  • ​Teenpower (Grades 7-8)
