Mrs. Niemeier began her ninth year at Resurrection in 2024 and her 14th year as a teacher. She was one of our Pre-K teachers for seven years before moving into her role as a kindergarten teacher.
"I love several things about teaching at Resurrection," Mrs. Niemeier said. "My most favorite are the relationships I have built with the teachers, and also the students and their families! I TRULY believe we are so lucky here!"
Mrs. Niemeier loves exploring and investigating pumpkins with her students each year before visiting the pumpkin patch with them. She also enjoys teaching about Advent and Lent as they prepare for Christmas and Easter.
"The kids are always eager to hear and learn about stories leading up to each liturgical season," she added.
When she's not in school, Mrs. Niemeier enjoys baking, spending time with her family, walking, and most outdoor activities.
She is married to her husband, Andy Niemeier, and they have three children, Rowan, Marin, and Lillian.
Mrs. Hagerty began her 27th year as a teacher in 2024. She taught 5th, 6th, and 2nd grades at St. John the Baptist and was an instructional coach, reading interventionist, and kindergarten teacher at Delaware Elementary before joining the Resurrection team. She now teaches kindergarten here!
"Teaching is the only job I have ever wanted to do," Mrs. Hagerty said. "Playing school was my favorite past time. My little sister was my student. My mom was the cafeteria manager, and my dad the custodian. I even assigned Mass parts and had pretend Mass!"
Mrs. Hagerty loves teaching her students about our Catholic faith.
"I try to encourage them to be prayer champions because we are all saints in the making!" she added. "I enjoy having a community where we are called to make each other better through our words and actions. I have been here long enough now to begin teaching siblings and other relatives. I love getting to know our families and watching them grow!"
When she's not at work, Mrs. Hagerty loves spending time with her family. As her children are growing older, she especially treasures their time together. They love watching sports together. She loves hiking in a new state park and attending concerts.
She's married to her husband, Eric, and they have three children: Sam (wife, Hannah), Meredith, and Maggie.
