Mrs. Kiesler

mkiesler@evdio.org

Mrs. Kiesler teaches 6th-8th grade Math at Resurrection. She spent 10 years in the marketing and advertising sector and coaching soccer in her spare time.

"Before I became a teacher, I was coaching soccer at the high school level, and I was coaching a girls travel soccer team," Mrs. Kiesler said. "I really enjoyed teaching kids the game of soccer, which is a passion of mine, and I wanted to have that feeling of teaching kids something I loved all the time!"

She started teaching about a decade ago at a local public middle school. Mrs. Kiesler taught computer tech classes her first year of teaching and then taught 8th grade math for two years before joining the Resurrection staff. She began her 6th year at Resurrection in 2024.

"The best part about teaching at Resurrection is the strong community it comes with," Mrs. Kiesler said. "I was a parishioner before I was a teacher here. I already knew what a wonderful community this church and school is. This place felt like home, and I wanted it to be my job as well!"

Her favorite project every year is making port pillows with students to donate to Chemo Buddies.

"The hope is that whomever receives this port pillow gets to smile a little when seeing the drawing on the pillow," Mrs. Kiesler said. "In a dark time, we hope to provide a little light!"

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, in whatever capacity that is! She and her husband, Joey, have been married for more than a decade. They have two sons, David and Eddie, and a Goldendoodle named Rudy.

Mr. Mullenix

cmullenix@evdio.org

Mr. Mullenix teaches 6th grade Language Arts, Social Studies, and Religion at Resurrection. He taught 5th grade at Avon Intermediate School before joining the Resurrection staff in 2008.

"My favorite thing about working at Resurrection is the ability to share my faith and celebrate Masses together (especially around the holidays)," Mr. Mullenix said. "I also love having other teachers around who can help me see things from our faith-based perspective when things are challenging."

Mr. Mullenix has a green screen in his classroom that students love to use to make movies for class projects.

"I really enjoy watching the videos with students after they are completed," Mr. Mullenix added. "It shows a lot of creativity and planning."

When he's not in school, Mr. Mullenix enjoys watching football with his family, and he's a big movie fan as well. He recently started playing disc golf as well.

Mr. Mullenix feels he's been tremendously blessed with his family. He's been married to his wife, Angie, for more than 20 years.

"We have three children - Austin, Caleb, and Chloe - who bring us (almost) daily joy," Mr. Mullenix said.

Mrs. Baehl

jbaehl@evdio.org

Mrs. Baehl is our 6th-8th grade Science teacher and 7th grade Religion teacher. She began her 27th year in education in 2024 - all but three of those at Resurrection. She taught one year at Fort Branch Community School and two years at Gibson Southern High School before joining our staff.

"I have always wanted to be a teacher, ever since grade school," Mrs. Baehl said. "I lived across from my grade school and spent many summers helping teachers at the school."

Her favorite classroom projects at Resurrection include the bridge building project with 8th graders, dissecting frogs, egg drops, making and testing model airplanes, and junk wars.

Mrs. Baehl loves the family atmosphere at Resurrection and being able to work in a faith-centered environment.

"I love teaching at a Catholic school because I love praying with students," she said. "I also love how our school comes together in prayer when it is needed for any reason. What I miss most of all in the summer is the children's Mass each week. There is truly nothing more spectacular, moving, and holy than listening to the sweet voices of the children singing and praying at Mass!"

Outside of school, Mrs. Baehl enjoys spending time with friends and family, shopping, reading, going to her kids' sporting events, and cooking. She has been married to her husband Russell for more than 25 years (they were high school sweethearts), and they have two daughters.

Mr. Wildeman

ajwildeman@evdio.org

Mr. Wildeman joined the Resurrection staff in 2023 after graduating from the University of Southern Indiana. He teaches 7th and 8th grade Social Studies and Practical Arts and serves as Resurrection's Athletic Director.

"My favorite part about being at Resurrection is the culture we have here," Mr. Wildeman said. "The teachers and students have made me feel right at home."

His favorite moments are during school Mass when we all come together as a school.

When he's not in the classroom, Mr. Wildeman enjoys watching the St. Louis Cardinals, golfing, and coaching baseball.

Mrs. Berendes

cberendes@evdio.org

Mrs. Berendes teaches 7th & 8th grade Language Arts at Resurrection. She taught 6th to 8th grade Social Studies at St. Mark Catholic School in Indianapolis for one year before returning home to Evansville and joining the Resurrection staff. She taught 5th grade for one year here before moving into her current role in 2024.

"I've wanted to be a teacher since I was 10 years old!" Mrs. Berendes said. "My 5th grade ELA/SS teacher was the most amazing, compassionate, and loving teacher I've ever had. She seemed to have fun each day at work, so I wanted to follow in her footsteps!"

Mrs. Berendes loves the Resurrection community. She believes our school is filled with amazing teachers who pour themselves into their careers and their students.

Mrs. Berendes added: "My favorite part about teaching at a Catholic school is the mixing of faith and learning. I grew up going to public school until I went to Mater Dei, so faith wasn't something we could talk about with our teachers. I love sharing my faith with my students. My faith in God and His plan is what keeps me going and gives me strength when life feels too challenging!"

Outside of school, Mrs. Berendes loves reading, doing anything outdoors, and watching sports, particularly soccer! She married her high school sweetheart in March of 2023, and they welcomed their first child in May of 2024.

Mr. Keith

jkeith@evdio.org

Mr. Keith has been teaching for more than a decade, all of them at Resurrection! He teaches Algebra, eighth grade Theology, and Technology, and serves as Resurrection's Technology Coordinator.

He was inspired to teach by his aunt and godmother, an Algebra teacher, who helped him discover a love of math at a young age. Mr. Keith considers it a blessing that he also is able to teach Theology and display his Catholic faith every day.

"I love that we are called to witness to our relationship with Christ at all moments, Theology teacher or not, catechizing by example, and I especially love that I get to discuss and share my Catholic faith with my students," Mr. Keith added.

In his free time, Mr. Keith likes to spend time with his family, camp, and play disc golf. He said he is blessed to have his wife, Annie-Rose, and his two children on campus with him at Resurrection.

"I am grateful to our parish and school family for their part in our lives," he said.
