Mrs. Miller

Mrs. Miller is a 3rd grade teacher at Resurrection. She started her career as a dental hygienist before making the transition to education. She spent one year teaching at Cedar Hall Community School, and then joined the Resurrection staff in 2022.

"I have always enjoyed working with children and loved my years working with children in the St. Vincent Mobile Dental Clinic," Mrs. Miller said. "This shaped my desire to become a teacher and work in the classroom environment."

She loves teaching math to her 3rd graders... incorporating hands-on activities and games and encouraging teamwork to support their understanding. Mrs. Miller also enjoys doing book clubs with her students.

"My favorite part of teaching in a Catholic school is witnessing the holy moments of students," she said. "I love observing the students help, support, and encourage one another. I love the kindness I see."

Outside of school, Mrs. Miller can be found reading, jogging, baking, or cheering on her children at their hobbies.

She is married to her husband, Nick, and they have three children - Max, Cooper, and Allie.

Mrs. Hoffman

Mrs. Hoffman is one of our 3rd grade teachers at Resurrection. She began her second year as a teacher in 2024.

After staying home to take care of her four children, Mrs. Hoffman worked five years in the journalism field before deciding on a career change. She was working as a kindergarten aide at Resurrection when she decided to pursue a degree in education.

"Being a teacher has always been something I have thought about pursuing," Mrs. Hoffman said. "After having four kids of my own and experiencing the joy in teaching them and witnessing their learning, a teaching career just felt like the next natural step for me. To be able to share things like my love of reading and writing with students, and be a part of their academic growth, is so rewarding."

She loves seeing students' imaginations spark and guide their writing. She loves their class book clubs, that provide an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, and engage and connect with characters and plots in classic novels.

Most of all, Mrs. Hoffman loves teaching at a Catholic school.

"It is beautiful to see my students grow in understanding of their faith, and to see it shine through in their actions, words, and praise at Mass," Mrs. Hoffman said.

Outside of school, Mrs. Hoffman enjoys taking walks, spending time with family, and watching her kids play sports. She and her husband, Andy, have four children: James, Will, Reid, and Harper.
