Mrs. Nancy Dukes joined Resurrection in June of 2024 after spending six years as principal of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in Columbus Grove, Ohio.
"I absolutely love being the instructional, organizational, and spiritual leader of a school," Nancy said.
Mrs. Dukes taught music in a public school district before her children were born. When her youngest entered school, she began teaching in a Catholic school and has been in Catholic education ever since.
"I love that our Catholic identity is infused in everything we do," Mrs. Dukes said. "When someone is hurting, we can stop and pray together. The students can be taken over to church for adoration. We can discuss our faith openly. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!"
Mrs. Dukes added: "I have always been driven to embrace new experiences, and I am looking forward to making my mark here at Resurrection. I am following in Mrs. Berendes' footsteps, and those are some big shoes to fill! I will pour my heart into everything I do at Resurrection parish and school!"
Mrs. Courtney Ethridge joined our Resurrection leadership team in 2024 as the new assistant principal.
Mrs. Ethridge previously had been a teacher here for 14 years, teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts, where she loved introducing students to Edgar Allan Poe and helping them explore the life of Anne Frank.
Mrs. Ethridge feels blessed to now be moving into a role where she has the opportunity to support the staff and families here.
"We have such an amazing staff and so many wonderful people here," Mrs. Ethridge said. "It's a great place to work, and the icing on the cake is that I get to send my kids to school here, too!"
Mrs. Ethridge also loves being able to live out her Catholic faith while at work every day.
"I love working at a Catholic school because I love praying with students," Mrs. Ethridge explained. "God is always there when we need Him, and it's nice to be able to talk to Him whenever we need to."
