Mrs. Rees
Mrs. Rees teaches 2nd grade at Resurrection. She has been teaching for 20 years and loves that she is able to work at her home parish. She has been a member of Resurrection her whole life and graduated from Resurrection School!
Mrs. Rees loves the family-like atmosphere at Resurrection and that she works with people who have wonderful morals and values.
Her favorite moment each school year is celebrating First Communion with her 2nd graders.
"Since living our faith is the most important part of life, I love sharing that with my students," Mrs. Rees said. "I love to help them realize that we are all made in God's image and should love our neighbor and treat them kindly."
Outside of school, Mrs. Rees loves being a mom and wife. She also enjoys making candles for her small business, This Little Light.
She is married to her husband Wesley and has three kids: Nolan, Brayden, and Faith and three step-kids: Brady, Kamryn, and Jasmyn.
Mrs. Schapker
Mrs. Schapker teaches 2nd grade at Resurrection. She previously taught at Christ the King School and Oak Hill Middle School before joining the Resurrection staff. In 2024, she began her 19th year as a teacher.
As a 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Schapker has the awesome privilege of guiding her students through two sacraments.
"I love helping the students prepare for First Reconciliation and First Communion," she said. "I also enjoy going to Mass every week with my students."
Outside of school, Mrs. Schapker enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading and going to baseball games.
She is married to her husband, Aaron, and they have two sons, Kole and Drew.
