Mrs. Gullquist

Mrs. Gullquist is our K-8 music teacher at Resurrection. She began her career here in 2023. Prior to teaching at Resurrection, Mrs. Gullquist taught violin lessons and worked as a board certified music therapist for individuals with developmental disabilities for almost a decade before making the switch to education.

"Education was my planned career path since I was in kindergarten until I discovered music therapy my junior year of high school," Mrs. Gullquist said. "I love the music therapy field, but my heart kept getting pulled in this direction, so here I am!"

Mrs. Gullquist has loved getting to know the students here and their families.

"Resurrection is a close-knit community that reminds me of where I grew up," she said. "I also really enjoy the freedom to talk about faith and religion within the school setting!"

Outside of school, Mrs. Gullquist loves cooking, reading, and playing music for fun!

She and her husband, Paden, met when they were both studying at the University of Evansville. Together, they have three girls, Elliana, Leona, and Dorothy.

Mrs. Joffray

Mrs. Joffray teaches K-8 art at Resurrection. Her first teaching job was at St. John the Baptist. She taught there one year and then went to Mater Dei for one year before the art teacher position opened up at Resurrection. She began teaching here in 2004!

"Resurrection has always felt like home," Mrs. Joffray said. "I walk in the  building every day just excited to be here. There's an energy in our school that I absolutely love!"

Mrs. Joffray had an idea that she wanted to teach as early as first grade, and by high school, she knew she wanted to teach art.

"I love sharing my knowledge and creativity, especially the idea of being unique and being your best self," Mrs. Joffray said. "I can be my absolute self around my students, and I love that!"

She also loves being able to share faith-based lessons with her students.

"Showing my students how to be kind, patient, and respectful towards each other is very rewarding," Mrs. Joffray said.

Outside of school, Mrs. Joffray loves camping with her family. The farthest they've pulled their camper was to Indiana Dunes State Park. She also loves to go antiquing and spend time with friends.

She and her husband, Jarred, have two sons, Jameson and Jarren, and a dog, Mocha.

Mrs. Baumgartner

Mrs. Baumgartner teaches K-8 Physical Education and 6th-8th grade Health at Resurrection. In 2024, Mrs. Baumgartner began her 31st year in education! She taught at Holy Redeemer for two years and has been at Resurrection ever since!

One of her favorite projects each year is teaching our younger students to ride bikes. Many years ago, she received a grant that funded the purchase of 25 bikes. She uses these in gym class to teach K-4 students how to ride a bike. Seventh and 8th graders have helped her with this lesson through the years, which has built a bond between the students.

"Some of the things I treasure most are the relationships I have built over the years with staff, students, and families," Mrs. Baumgartner said. "I also love that we can share and teach about our faith in any subject area at any time of the day. It is so amazing to watch the students grow in their faith through their years at Resurrection!"

Outside of school, Mrs. Baumgartner loves to hang out with her family. They love to watch and play sports together. Golf is her number one, go-to hobby.

Mrs. Baumgartner is married to her husband, Alex, and they have three children: McKenzie, Mitch, and Max.
